Is there an Upgrade Pack available?
Unfortunately, given the large number of changes we’ve made to the expansions in particular, there’s no way to offer an upgrade pack. Beyond the card changes, the graphic design template for all the cards will be changing, and this is a different factory from Innovation Deluxe from years back, and our more recent Innovation 3rd Edition individual packaging of Innovation and its expansions. Our goal with this project was to make enough updates and upgrades to make it worthwhile for longtime Innovation fans!

What art/graphics changes are coming to Ultimate?
You can see updated card templates on the page - we’ve taken the 3rd edition template and made some improvements for readability and clarity. In particular, the title bar is larger and the font is now bold and easily readable across the table. This was our top priority, ease of use. By eliminating the boxes that held effects, we’ve also been able to increase the font size by as much as 2pt on the majority of the cards across all sets. We’ve also strengthened the colorblind indicators in the corner (the symbol surrounding the age number) to be much easier to spot, and tweaked green/blue to be more distinct. While much of what we loved about 3rd edition remains in place, these changes should provide a significant boost for usability, which is our focus for Innovation.

What will the MSRP be?
Currently, Innovation and its individual expansions each have an MSRP of $20. We haven’t made a final decision on Ultimate’s MSRP, but it is likely to be in the $85 range.

Will this be available in other languages?
Yes, but not through this campaign. We’re licensing Innovation out to a number of partners in other languages, and we’ll have more news on that down the line. Before they can start translating the game, we need to finish working on it. We expect translation efforts to start in the late fall, and hope for international versions to be available in late 2024.

Can I buy individual expansions or just the base game?
We’re still determining how we’ll be packaging things for retail - and this campaign will go a long ways toward helping us make (and fund) those decisions. At a minimum, Innovation Ultimate and a new packaging of base Innovation will be available in retail in 2024 after we’ve fulfilled. Selling individual expansions through retail is tough, since they’re not standalone. Stores in general aren’t as excited about carrying non-standalone expansions as they used to be, which we understand!
During the campaign, we’re only selling Innovation Ultimate. We may add an option for just the base game during the Pledge Manager portion nearer shipping time.

What is BackerKit?
BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?
As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
